LAMBUTH UNIVERSITY ADDS RARE BOOK TO COLLECTION The Luther L. Gobbel Library at Lambuth University is proud to announce the acquisition of Processus Contra Templarios – Proceedings Against the Templars by the Luther L. Gobbel Library. The unveiling ceremony for this rare text will kick-off a week-long celebration of the publication of the lost manuscripts from the Vatican archives, including a study of the history and legends of the Knights Templar. Events include: - Friday, March 28, 4:00 p.m.: Press conference and reception for the unveiling of the Processus Contra Templarios at the Luther L. Gobbel Library
- Monday, March 31: overview lecture about the Knights Templar and the significance of this rare document, available to the public for the first time in five centuries in the library at noon
- Tuesday, April 1: Viewing of the film The Da Vinci Code in the library at noon
- Wednesday, April 2: Lambuth University Religion professors Dr. Gene Davenport and Dr. Cindy Wesley will debunk The Da Vinci Code and discuss myths of non-mainstream faiths in the library at noon
- Thursday, April 3: Program by former Vatican reporter John Allen, Hamilton Performing Arts Center, 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, April 4: Lecture and discussion about medieval manuscripts by Dr. Gavin Richardson, English professor from Union University, in the library at noon
All events are free and the public is invited to attend.
